Requiem for slumber

Eight girls
Eight sleeping bags
Two pizzas
Chocolate cupcakes
Chocolate frosting
Chocolate chips
Chocolate ice cream
Ninety minute TV movie
Three brothers spawned from the belly of the beast
Writhing, giggling, shrieking, running, leaping, teasing, screaming, singing, sneaking
Sunrise

Party on this weekend, readers! Sleeping is for babies. (We wish.)

Yet another happy indicator that all my suffering is self-imposed.

How many indicators do you need to know something is true?

'J' has been dragging the latest Rolling Stone around all week. The one with the Jonas Brothers on the cover. There is no turning back now.

Sounds like a great time.

Marta,
The indicator is in every step you take! Still, it can take a whole lifetime to see it.

oooh, eight girls. We've had eight boys sleeping over, but they were in tents, outside. And I made my husband be in charge. I do so worry for when my dd decides on a mass sleepover...

Ah, sounds like such fun! It takes me right back to giggly childhood nights of my own.

My girl is eight, and I'm only saved from a mirror fate my her intense dislike of all things Disney.

Has Georgia run into Mean Girl trouble yet? If so, do share your wisdom!

Hi Karen. The girly sleepovers are behind me now, but I used to love the breakfasts, pancakes etc.A friend insisted her husband do a bit of work with the 6-girl sleepover and she had time-out while he took them to the drive-in.He backed the van into the spot while daughter and friends giggled away, watching the film in their sleeping bags. He, bless him, watched the entire film in the rear vision mirror!!

Ah, but some indicators suck a lot less than others!

Sounds like a precious moment in time to me!

Hope you were able to catch up on your sleep.
